The $660 million Trolley Renewal Project is officially done! We’d like to thank all riders for their patience and appreciation for the five-year rebuilding project on the Orange, Green and Blue Lines. Just about everything was replaced or rebuilt – from new station platforms and shelters to tracks and overhead catenary wires. It was an extreme makeover!
This was not an easy task, but it was much-needed to ensure riders have reliable, safe and efficient service for generations to come! In appreciation, SANDAG and MTS invite you to help celebrate this major accomplishment by joining us at the E Street Station, anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 12. We’ll have live entertainment, family-friendly activities, free t-shirts (while supplies last) and an opportunity to enter to win a grand prize. Our partners will be on hand to give you tips on how to save water and energy, provide information about future transportation improvements and more!
