The annual San Diego Pride Parade is back and bigger than ever! An estimated 300,000 attendees are expected to join the weekend’s events. Come out to celebrate and honor the LGBTQIA+ community. With limited parking, MTS is the smart ride to Pride.

Riders are encouraged to use their PRONTO app to travel to the event.

Youth with a registered PRONTO card or app account can also ride free with the Youth Opportunity Pass. Remember to tap or scan before every ride - even when you transfer between stops.

Rapid 215 is a great option to get to all the Pride festivities:

  • Service every 15 minutes or better throughout most of the day
  • Last bus leaves downtown/Hillcrest (both directions) after midnight
  • Direct service to University & Park Blvd. to catch the Parade. The Parade begins on University three blocks west of Park Blvd. at Normal Street.
  • Connect to the free Pride shuttle service at the Park Blvd. and Presidents Way. (Northbound stop: Park Blvd. and Naval Hospital. Southbound Stop: Park Blvd. and Inspiration Point Way)
  • Route 7 is another option to get to the Pride Shuttle service - take Route 7 to Park Blvd. and Presidents Way to the free Pride Shuttle service.

Detours

Routes 10, 11 & 120 will be detoured on Saturday, July 20, 2024 6:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Bus stops on University between 1st Ave and Park Blvd in both directions will temporarily discontinued, including the bus stop on 5th Ave at University. Planned Track Closure - UC San Diego Blue Line

There will be no Blue Line service between 12th & Imperial and E Street all day Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21. There will be an Express Shuttle from E Street to 12th & Imperial and bus bridges to the impacted stations. For more information, please visit our Track Maintenance page.


San Diego Pride Parade

Theme: Making History Now
When: July 20, 2024 @ 10:00 a.m.
Locations: The parade begins at the Hillcrest Pride Flag at University Ave. and Normal St., proceeds west on University Ave., turns south on 6th Ave., turns left onto Balboa Dr. and ends at Quince Dr.
Route Length: 1.5 miles
Cost: This is a free, community event.
