Bus Detour Information
Route 2: 6:45 AM - 10:45 AM
Southbound Route 2 bus stops on Broadway between 25th and 11th will not be serviced. Passengers needing to connect with the southbound Route 2 can do so on 25th at Broadway. Northbound Route 2 bus stops on Broadway between Park and 21st will not be serviced. Passengers needing to connect with the northbound Route 2 can do so on Broadway at Park or on Broadway at 22nd. After 8am, service on Broadway will resume with possible minor delays until approximately 10:45am.
There will be significant delays and bus stop closures impacting Route 3 in the downtown area. The road closures and detours will start at 6am - 12pm. Passengers will need to catch the bus at 16th & Market St for buses heading towards UCSD/Hillcrest, or 10th Ave & Market St for buses heading towards Euclid TC.
Westbound Route 4 will be detoured off Imperial Ave between 14th and 20th from 6am until 7:30am if traffic causes major delays. In this case, the westbound bus stops on Imperial @ 19th (# 10871) and on Imperial @ 16th (#11258) will not be serviced.
Route 5 will be on detour from 6am - 12pm. Bus stops on Market St between 10th & 14th St will be closed due to the detour heading in both directions. Passengers will need to catch the bus at 16th & Market St or at 12th & Imperial TC.
Route 7 will be impacted beginning at 6:30am. The race will stretch from East Village to Hillcrest. Regular service will resume at approximately 10am.
Northbound Route 7 bus stops on Park @ B St and on University @ Alabama will be closed during the race. Passengers needing to connect with the Route 7 (northbound) near Hillcrest can do so on Park @ University or on University @ Louisiana.
Route 10 will be impacted beginning at approx. 7:30am. The race will stretch from East Village to Hillcrest. Regular on-time bus service will resume at approximately 10am.
Eastbound Route 10 bus stop on University @ Park will be closed. Passengers needing to connect with the eastbound Route 10 can do so at the Route 7 bus stop on northbound Park @ University.
Rapid 225 will be impacted by the "Hot Chocolate Run" from 6:00am thru approximately 12:00am. Bus stops (#10487) on 'G' @ 14th, (#88984) on 'F' St @ 14th, (#99342) and (#10109) on Broadway @ Park will be out of service during these times. Passengers needing to connect with the Southbound Route 225 can do so on 11th & Broadway (City College Trolley Station).
Rapid 235 will be impacted by the "Hot Chocolate Run" on Sunday, March 9th from 6:15am thru approximately 11:30am. Bus stops (#10487) on 'G' @ 14th, (#88984) on 'F' St @ 14th and (#99342) on Broadway @ Park will be out of service during these times. Passengers needing to connect with the Northbound Route 235 can do so at the regular stop on Broadway @ Park (City College Trolley Station).
Passengers are advised to expect delays due to detour and to plan accordingly.
Due to this years Annual Hot Chocolate 15k/5k there will be significant delays impacting the route 992 from 6am - 12pm. Airport route will begin picking up passengers at temporary layover 10th & Broadway during the impacted hours.
