Balboa Park
December Nights is back! The City of San Diego's annual free holiday festival will kick off the holiday season this December 6, 2024 (from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and December 7, 2024 (from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.). The event sprawls across Balboa Park and features tons of holiday lights and decorations, many different multicultural food options, live music, vendors, and much more.
Held the first Friday and Saturday of each December, the event was originally founded when ten Balboa Park cultural organizations hosted the first celebration. That year, 3,000 San Diegans gathered to be a part of the occasion, and it has been a treasured event ever since.
