Green Line Trolley assists soccer fans in scoring a ride to Snapdragon Stadium
San Diego – As lively soccer fans cheer on their favorite teams at the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup semifinals and finals, the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will be increasing Green Line Trolley service to accommodate the large crowds traveling to Snapdragon Stadium.
The first semifinal match features Brazil vs. Mexico kicking off at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 6. This will be followed by United States vs. Canada at 7:15 p.m. The winners of those two matches will face off in the final at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, March 10.
With so much action MTS encourages attendees to not be caught “offside” and avoid traffic and high parking costs by taking the Green Line Trolley to Stadium Station. Taking the Trolley is the best way to beat the crowd and enjoy the epic soccer matches that are sure to have the crowds cheering.
Getting to 2024 Concacaf Women's Gold Cup
Green Line Pre-event Service
March 6: Trolleys will arrive at Stadium Station every 15 minutes or better prior to the game, dropping fans off at the doorstep of Snapdragon Stadium.
March 10: Trolleys will arrive at Stadium Station every 15 minutes or better starting two hours before game time.
Green Line Post-event Service
March 6: Regular Green Line service, with additional Trolleys as needed.
March 10: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes or better until 45 minutes after the event ends.
To help expedite the boarding process, fans should download the PRONTO app in advance. Load at least $5 on your virtual card for the event day, which covers a round-trip fare for adult riders. Every person needs their own PRONTO app or card, you cannot buy fares for multiple people on the same device. Tap or scan on the station validators to activate your pass prior to boarding. Kids ride free! Families going to the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup final March 10 can save big by taking MTS. During weekends, two children 12 and under ride for free with every paying adult. Youth ages 18 and under with a registered Youth PRONTO card or app account can ride free with the Youth Opportunity Pass.
