MTS: Getting You To Snapdragon Stadium

Located in the heart of Mission Valley, the new Snapdragon Stadium is ready to welcome 35,000 fans for action-packed sporting events, rocking shows and more! Fans can avoid the hassle of traffic and parking by choosing transit. The Trolley’s Green Line provides direct, frequent service to the doorstep of Snapdragon Stadium. Trolley service runs every 15 minutes or better before and after most events, with added service for select larger events.

April 27, 2024 - San Diego Wave vs. Bay FC

Notice for Green Line Riders: Trolleys will be not running east of Grossmont Transit Center all day, due to ongoing track construction and maintenance. Fans traveling from East County to the match are strongly encouraged to use one of the following park and ride lots when possible:

  • Grossmont Transit Center (220 spaces, first floor of parking garage, marked "Transit Parking")
  • 70th Street Station (125 spaces)
  • Fans traveling from La Mesa, Lemon Grove or elsewhere may also consider parking at Spring Street Station and transferring to the Green Line at Grossmont Transit Center.
  • Please note: Due to a Padres game (5:40 p.m.), lots may be impacted more than usual.

If riding from a station east of Grossmont Transit Center, please plan for extra travel time and delays. One bus bridge will operate between Grossmont and El Cajon. If you are traveling east of the El Cajon Station, you will need to transfer to a second bus bridge for service between El Cajon and Santee.

Trains will run every 15-minutes post-game between the Stadium and Grossmont Transit Center (from approximately 8:30 until 10 p.m.), with additional service as needed. After 10 p.m., trains may only run every 30 minutes.

Get extra Trolley service information on the Wave's event page.

Track Closures

Please note: The elevator at Stadium Station is temporarily out of service. We are in process of repairing the elevator to ensure continued safe, convenient service. While the elevator is being repaired, please use the ramp or stairs instead. Contact a MTS Security Officer or Passenger Support Representative at Stadium Station if you need assistance. You may also call MTS Trip Planning (619-233-3004) to learn of alternative transportation options.

To help expedite the boarding process, fans should download the PRONTO app in advance. Load at least $5 on your virtual card for gameday (every person needs their own PRONTO app or card, you cannot buy fares for multiple people on the same device). One-ways fares are $2.50 for adults, and $1.25 for seniors, youth with a PRONTO card ride free. When you get to the station, find a validator and scan (or tap your card) before boarding. When you leave the game, validators will be located on the ramps leading up to the station, and the station platforms. Tap before you board again.
