Detour Route 12 Impacted by 54th Chicano Park Day Commemoration, Sat. 4/20

Active Period: On Apr 20, from 3:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Due to the 54th Annual Chicano Par Day Commemoration on Saturday, 4/20, from 3:00am-6:00pm MTS route 12 will be on detour in the vicinity of Chicano Park (both directions). As a result, all eastbound and westbound Route 12 bus stops on Logan Ave between Commercial and Sicard St will not be serviced due to closure and extreme traffic along Logan Ave. Passengers can connect with eastbound and westbound Route 12's at any Route 929 stop on National or Main St between Commercial and Sampson or at the temporary A-Frame stops on Sampson at National, (both directions).

Due to construction and no sidewalk/crosswalk access on the southwest corner of Euclid and Plaza, the Route 13 bus stop at that location (ID# 50101) will be closed 24hrs/day until 4/26/24. Passengers needing to connect with the southbound Route 13 can do so at the temporary A-Frame stop on the northwest corner of Euclid and Plaza by the Winchell's Donut shop.

Due to Caltrans work the southbound route 20 will be on detour departing Fashion Valley Transit Center on Thursday 4/4 from 9:00pm to 5:00am. As a result the bus stop on Hotel Circle South at Bachman Pl (#13510) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the southbound route 20 at Fashion Valley Transit Center.

Effective Sunday, June 25, the westbound bus stop at Gilman & Myers will be closed due to a major construction project. The stop will be closed for approximately three years, until the summer of 2026. Southbound route 30 will service the temporary location on Gilman at Mandeville (ID# 89022).

Detour La Jolla Half Marathon and La Jolla Shores 5K 5/18 6:00am-10:00am

Active Period: On May 18, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Due to the La Jolla Half Marathon and La Jolla Shores 5K on Saturday 5/18 from 6:00am to 10:00am the southbound route 30 will be on detour. The southbound route 30 will be on detour from La Jolla Village Dr at Torrey Pines Rd. As a result all the southbound route 30 stops on N. Torrey Pines Rd and La Jolla Shores Drive will be closed. The San Diego Padres’ season has recently commenced, and the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is providing an additional shuttle service for the San Diego community.
