Check Your Compass Card

Esta página en Español

If your Compass Card looks like this, it may be expired/expiring soon.

Compass Cards have a limited life and the first cards released are beginning to expire. If you see an “expired” notice on platform validators or bus fare boxes, or if your card isn’t being accepted at Ticket Vending Machines, it may be time for a replacement. If you have the original Compass Card, and it is still working, please check the expiration date now to ensure that you have time to replace your card before expiration.

To check your Compass Card expiration date:

• Click here. Enter the 16-digit number on the back of your card.

• Call 511 and say “Compass” to speak to a customer service representative Monday – Friday, 7 am–7 pm or Saturday, 10 am–2 pm.

• Visit a NCTD or MTS Transit Store.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve the Compass Card program.
